I am Evelyn Alessandri. It’s taken me 20 years to realise my purpose in life. I want to help others.
Today I am a qualified Life Coach, as well as a BodyTalk, Reiki and Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, taking every day as a blessing and an opportunity to help people find balance and bliss in their lives through a combination of holistic therapies.
My life has been a journey – like most I’ve learnt lessons – some quicker than others. I have learnt that like a tree, I will change, and I will grow, my roots will become strong and I choose to allow the winds of life to move me to where the universe needs me. The Healing Tree Clinic is a manifestation of my hopes, my dreams and my desire to help others find themselves.
I am a woman, a mother and a wife. I’ve been a traveller, a career woman and an entrepreneur. All of which are important parts of my journey that have brought me to here. Like any adventurous youngster I left South Africa at 21 to travel. I spent 8 years in London working up the corporate ladder to a successful high-powered position, which allowed me to tick off many countries and adventures on my travel list. Armed with my experience and my tales of adventure I returned to SA.
Back home I had a successful stint in the corporate world moving quickly from sales to management. I learnt that success doesn’t come without its fair share of challenges – battling a restraint of trade restriction imposed on me in a Supreme Court trial.
In 1998 I lost my Mother. It was unexpected. She wasn’t ill and despite us being very close – I didn’t see it coming. She committed suicide. Nothing I had ever experienced could have prepared me for the heartbreak and the immense loss I felt, and still feel in some ways today. It took years for me to make peace with the fact that it was her path and her decision to make. Trying to deal with that loss, also made me realise that there are times in life when you can’t be totally independent and you need help.
I met my husband, Richard, a year after returning to SA. With Richard came motherhood as I was blessed to become a step-mother of a 10 year old daughter. Being a step-mother had its challenges, and it was only after having my own daughter years later, that I learnt being a step mum is no different to being a mum.
My hubby and I teamed up in business when we started our own Warehousing company. And while we made a great team for some time, I felt I wasn’t where I wanted to be professionally. Richard continued running the business, while I took a slight detour.
I found myself on the BodyTalk path in 2007, and while I completed the course, I decided to follow a different path at the time. I purchased a small beauty supply business. For 6½ years I ran a successful company, seemingly happy – until one day I woke up and decided that my passion to help others was where I wanted to be. Six months later I opened my practice.
Travelling my path in life has had its ups and downs, but I am stronger for it, and I can positively use what I’ve learnt to encourage and assist others.
I am here to help you, thank you for finding me.
