Welcome to the South African BodyTalk Association
The South African BodyTalk Association was formed to advance awareness, knowledge and research in natural, complementary, alternative and integrative medicine and to educate the public about the benefits of The BodyTalk System within the realm of healthy lifestyle and individual health/wellbeing management. SABA is here to provide alternative health care, education and support to the public, including previously disadvantaged communities through awareness programs and campaigns run in schools, community centres and companies.
What is BodyTalk?
BodyTalk is a natural health-care system, which is designed to work with, and support, your bodies’ own natural ability to repair and restore itself. A BodyTalk session is designed to re-establish and re-connect the lines of communication which enable the bodies’ internal mechanisms to function at optimal level.
What is BodyTalk for Animals?
As is the case with human beings, exposure to stress can lead to disease and malfunctioning within an animal’s body. The understanding that animals deserve their own type of BodyTalk inspired the evolution of BodyTalk for Animals.

How can BodyTalk Help me?
BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortable; they are done with the client fully clothed; there is no need for disrobing. A BodyTalk session usually lasts between 15 and 45 minutes. The length of a session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur; as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound. The bodymind knows just how many changes and corrections it is ready to initiate in any given session, and will therefore indicate when the session is complete and may even establish a time when you may need to return for a follow-up session.
BodyTalk can be used as a standalone to treat your whole system, or as a complement to modern medicine or other healing modalities:
- Stress
- Allergies
- Headaches
- Arthritis
- Cancer
- Endocrine Disorders
- Addictions
- Chronic & Acute Medical Conditions
- Back Pain
- Viruses
- Depression
- Chronic Fatigue

CHANGE IS A CONSTANT IN LIFE
Understanding Change
The Nature of Change
Change is a constant in life, affecting every aspect of our existence, from personal growth to technological advancements. It involves transitioning from one state to another, requiring adjustments in understanding and behaviour to align with new realities. Change is an inevitable part of life, and navigating it with grace can transform challenges into opportunities. In today's fast-paced world, understanding and adapting to change is not merely advantageous—it's essential. Let us explore what makes change significant and how we can better manage it by building resilience and seizing new opportunities.
The Psychological Stages of Change
• Denial: Initially, resistance to acknowledging change can occur as we hold onto the familiar.
• Anger: Frustration or anger may arise as the reality of change sets in.
• Bargaining: There may be attempts to negotiate or delay the change to maintain control.
• Depression: Acknowledging that change is inevitable can lead to feelings of sadness or hopelessness.
• Acceptance: Ultimately, reaching acceptance allows us to embrace change and move forward.
Types of Change
• Personal Change: Involves alterations in habits, beliefs, or personal circumstances.
• Social Change: Refers to shifts within societal structures and cultural norms.
• Technological Change: Encompasses advancements and innovations reshaping industries and lifestyles.
The Importance of Perspective
Our perspective on change profoundly influences our response. Viewing change as an opportunity rather than a threat helps harness its potential, fostering creativity, open-mindedness, and a willingness to explore new possibilities.
Embracing the Process of Change
The first step in managing change is understanding that it's a process, not a single event. Change involves a series of stages, such as anticipation, transition, and finally, settling into the new norm. Each stage brings its own set of emotions and challenges that can be overwhelming. By recognizing these stages as part of a natural cycle, we can prepare ourselves mentally and emotionally, helping to reduce any anxiety about the unknown.
Imagine, for instance, changing jobs or moving to a different city. These changes start with planning and anticipation, which can feel daunting. But if you view this as part of the transformation, rather than a random upheaval, it becomes easier to navigate through it.
Building Resilience
Change often requires us to stretch beyond our comfort zones. This is where resilience comes into play. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and adapt effectively. Think of it as your personal superpower that helps you thrive despite adversity.
Building resilience isn't just about toughening up but also having a support system in place. Surrounding yourself with friends, family, and colleagues who understand your journey can provide emotional support and practical advice. Moreover, maintaining a positive mindset and practicing self-care routines can reinforce your resilience.
For instance, regular exercise, meditation, or even setting aside time for hobbies can bolster your emotional well-being. Remember, taking care of yourself is not a luxury—it's a necessity.
Leveraging Change for Growth
Once we become resilient, we can start to see change not as a threat, but as an opportunity for growth. Change can push us to learn new skills, meet new people, and break old habits that no longer serve us. It fosters innovation and creativity, both personally and professionally.
Consider a tech company that must rapidly adapt to industry advancements. By leveraging change, they can position themselves as leaders in their field, continuously offering cutting-edge solutions. On a personal level, embracing change can lead to discovering new passions or career paths.
The key is to keep an open mind and remain agile. By being adaptable, you can pivot when necessary and seize opportunities that come your way.
Conclusion
Change needn't be daunting. We can confront it with confidence by recognising that it's a process, building resilience, and discovering ways to leverage it. Embracing change enables us to survive in a constantly evolving world, thrive, and grow. So, the next time life throws a curveball, remember it's merely another step in your personal and professional development journey. Let's welcome it with open arms!

Happy Birthday to Christine Conradie, based in Jukskei Park, Johannesburg.
bodytalksystem.co.za/members/christine-conradie/
My Practice is situated in the beautiful, tranquil setting of Your Space for Wellness in Jukskei Park, Johannesburg Northern Suburbs. The centre is surrounded by indigenous trees and birdlife, and it is the perfect setting to allow your body to shift into a place of peace and health.
My journey started in 2009, when I discovered my true purpose in life and I became a BodyTalk Practitioner. BodyTalk is a truly holistic energy healing modality which helps to align the bodymind complex so that the body can naturally heal itself. It is completely non-invasive and helps in all aspects, mentally, physically and emotionally.
My greatest dream was accomplished when we opened Your Space for Wellness in 2017. It was always my intention to have a place where like-minded Practitioners could come together to collaborate and share their wisdom with the public and each other. Where we all had a common goal and ethos.
Over the years, I have broadened my perspective and have qualified in other modalities which I have incorporated into my practice. Some of these are: Applied Kinesiology, LifePrint and Access Consciousness Bars which I also have qualified as a facilitator and run courses teaching others Access Bars. A am a Reiki Master as well a qualified Yoga teacher.
My passion is in helping individuals to reach their potential in every aspect of their life, whether their health, their careers, their purpose, their relationships or just life in general. I call myself a LifeStyle Strategist and a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner as this encompasses everything.

Happy birthday
Sounds lovely, if only any of the practitioners that I tried to contact via messenger in the Pretoria areas would get back concerning an appointment to be made. Not 1….🙈
Happy birthday Christine! May you be blessed with good health, happiness and prosperity always. 🎉🥳💕
Your environment shapes your health more than you realize—Pollution, EMFs, and even the emotional energy in a room can disrupt your balance. These external influences may create stress, fatigue, or even impact your emotional well-being.
BodyTalk recalibrates your body's response to these factors, neutralizing their negative impact on your health. By aligning you with your surroundings, BodyTalk helps you stay grounded, resilient, and in harmony—no matter where you are or what’s around you.

Happy Birthday to our Johannesburg Practitioner, Veronica Bosman.
bodytalksystem.co.za/members/veronica-bosman/
A bit about me....
I’ve always enjoyed nature from a young age. It fascinated me that there was a whole other world inside a garden…
Nature always seems so calm & balanced, unlike the reality we experience outside on a daily basis.
Like so many out there, I lost myself in the world as I grew up… Forgetting about the healing world of nature & the importance of balance in life.
It took a long time for me to find my way back home to my true self.
I had to go through many traumas…from childhood, divorce, addiction & now stepping out of the norm & pursuing a career doing what I love.
This journey isn’t always easy, but I’ve experienced more joy & happiness than I ever did before. I am so grateful for the wonderful souls I’ve met along the way and looking forward to meeting you too & walking this path to inner transformation with you.
Life is magical when one falls in love with self & nature.
Much love
